Matt's birthday was on a Sunday this year, but we started celebrating 3 days early. We went to a pre-screening of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows: Part 2 on Thursday night at 9 PM (I don't think I could have survived a midnight showing this year.)
Friday we went to good ol' Juab County so Matt could play in a all night softball tournament in Nephi. Before the tournament my dad grilled burgers and my mom made a massive ice cream cake for Matt's birthday. The tournament started at 11 PM so I went for the first game and then went to my parents to sleep after it ended. Matt spent the rest of the night playing softball and playing Xbox with Garrett in between games. He showed up at my parents' house about 6 AM and crashed till afternoon.
We picked up the birthday celebration again on Sunday (Matt's actual birthday.) After church we had Matt's requested birthday feast of spaghetti and meatballs and German chocolate cake. Matt's Aunt LaWane makes the most delicious German chocolate cake frosting that Matt loves and I attempted to make.
